Note For Teachers: Always remember to be sensitive, patient, and considerate if a student has just experienced anaphylaxis as it could have been a very traumatic experience.
How To
While it is scary, it is important for students with food allergies to know how to administer their own lifesaving medication. There are many different ways you can be trained to use lifesaving medication; however, we thought it would make it less intimidating if a student taught other students how to use life-saving medication. In these videos Delaney will teach us how to use lifesaving medication, specifically an EpiPen and Auvi Q. For more detailed explanations, please look to your local physician. Always use life-saving medication for severe allergic reactions and call 911 after administering the medication.
